Paradox as Genesis

Retirement planning services from a fee-only financial advisor are often out of reach for a lot people. The paradox therein is, that people who can’t access these services, are usually the ones who need them the most.

Over the years, our awareness of this paradox turned into a challenge. Today, the primary savings vehicle for retirement is the employer-sponsored 401k, 403b or similar plan. We aim to make it affordable and easy for employees to gain control over their financial future.

The crux of the matter is, that when employers and employees are working together, so much more can be achieved for both parties. We see our services as the glue that cements the partnership between employer and employee. When employers leverage purchasing power, employees achieve more. Understandably, employers may first be hesitant due to pressures on their bottom line, however, most companies soon find that using our objective advisory services are more likely to plug leaks draining the bottom line—while protecting the company in the process.

Experience and Longevity

After more than 20 years helping individual and corporate clients achieve financial goals, Steve Athanassie, CFP®, ATP, launched the services of ManageMy401k in 2004. The concept came about after years of informally helping clients manage their 401k and 403b plans as a part of the client's complete financial planning and investment management process. Steve Athanassie is founder and president of ManageMy401k.com, LLC, a registered investment adviser registered with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
